Call someone names
1. 뜻
- if a peson, especially a child, calls someone names,
they address that person with a name that is intended to be offensive.
- to use unpleasant words to describe someone in order to insult or upset them
(누군가를 말로 괴롭히는 행위로) 무례한 이름을 부르며 모욕하다/험담하다/욕하다
2. 예문
1) The other kids started calling her names because she looked and sounded a little different.
그녀의 생김새와 목소리가 약간 달랐기 때문에 아이들은 그녀를 욕하기 시작했다.
2) The other kids used to call me names.
아이들은 나를 (다른 모욕적인 별명을 부르며) 욕하곤 했다.
