You owe it to yourself.

 

1. 뜻

- to deserve and need to do something that will be good for you

- to feel you should try to achieve something because it is what you deserve

: 자신에게 신세를 지고 있다. 

 = (나의 행복과 만족을 위해) 자신을 위하다. 자신에게 ~을 하라. 

 

2. 예문 

1) Take a few days off work - you owe it to yourself. 

     일을 며칠 쉬어. 자신에게 그 정도는 해 줘야지. 

 

2) You need to stop worrying about work - you owe it to yourself to enjoy the weekends with your family. 

    일에 대해서 걱정을 그만해. 너는 주말에 가족과 즐거운 시간을 보내도 돼.

You should forget about all work and go recharge. You owe it to yourself.

일에 대해서 모든 걸 잊고 재충전해라. 자신에게 그 정도는 해 줘야지.
